Memorial Day 2010 at "The Ranch"

This year over Memorial Day, we went to "The Ranch." Jeremy's grandma owns some property down by Castle Dale and Clawson. We went to help do a few work projects that she needed done, and also to have some fun. Jeff & Heather and their kids came too. It was fun to spend some time there. I just got a new camera, so I'm still learning how to use it...some of the shots are not so great looking....

We had fun picking asparagus, which surprisingly enough, grows all over down there...even right in the middle of fields. We cooked it that night and ate it fresh...it was so good!



Of course Maddie saw the dogs and had to go pet them and make friends with them.

This picture of grandma and the kids was taken up on the bench, which is owned by her nephew. He farms the property there.

This is part of the home/cabin where grandma spent part of her childhood. She has many fun stories of her time spent there with her mom and dad and brothers and sisters. She is the second to the youngest of 13 kids, so some of her older siblings were married and gone at the time, but it was a full house with those that lived there.
